The Lily Pad Book Shop & Calypso Kids Ltd

1. Introduction

These Terms & Conditions apply to all purchases and services provided by The Lily Pad Book Shop (retail) and Calypso Kids Ltd (education services and parent–child music classes). By purchasing or participating, you agree to these terms.

2. Products & Services

2.1 The Lily Pad Book Shop

  • New and second-hand children’s books and gifts (in‑store only).

  • Second-hand items may show wear; condition descriptions are guidance only.

  • New items sold in brand-new condition unless stated otherwise.

2.2 Calypso Kids Ltd – Education Services

  • Music, art, and storytelling education in schools, preschools, and community settings.

  • Availability depends on scheduling and agreements with client institutions.

2.3 Parent & Child Music Classes

  • For children aged 0–5 with a parent/guardian.

  • Sessions include music, movement, singing, and storytelling.

  • Schedules and locations may change with notice.

3. Pricing & Payment

3.1 Book Shop

  • Prices in GBP, including VAT where applicable.

  • Payment required at time of purchase (cash, card, approved digital payments).

3.2 Education Services

  • Pricing and payment schedules agreed separately with client institutions.

3.3 Parent & Child Classes

  • Payment required at attendance unless otherwise agreed.

  • Fees communicated in advance.

4. Cancellations & Refunds

4.1 Book Shop

  • Returns within 14 days with proof of purchase.

  • New items must be unused and resaleable.

  • Second-hand books returnable only if faulty or not as described.

  • Refunds issued to original payment method.

  • Gift items must be in original packaging.

4.2 Education Services

  • Cancellation and refund terms set out in individual agreements.

4.3 Parent & Child Classes

  • Cancel at least 48 hours before class for full refund.

  • Late cancellations/no‑shows may not be refunded.

  • If Calypso Kids Ltd cancels, a refund or alternative session is offered.

5. Gift Cards (Book Shop)

  • Valid for 12 months from purchase.

  • Not exchangeable for cash.

  • Lost/stolen cards replaced only with proof of purchase.

6. Health & Safety (Parent & Child Classes)

  • Children must be in good health before attending.

  • Parents/guardians must supervise children at all times.

  • Calypso Kids Ltd is not responsible for injuries during classes.

7. Photography & Media (Classes)

  • Photos/videos may be taken for promotional use.

  • Consent requested before using identifiable images.

8. Privacy & Data Protection

  • Both businesses comply with UK GDPR.

  • Only necessary information is collected.

  • Data is not sold to third parties.

  • Shared only with consent or where legally required.

9. Intellectual Property

  • All branding, images, written content, and educational materials belong to The Lily Pad Book Shop, Calypso Kids Ltd, or licensors.

  • Reproduction or distribution requires permission.

10. Limitation of Liability

  • No liability for indirect or consequential losses.

  • Book shop liability limited to purchase value.

  • Education/class liability limited to fees paid.

11. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
